3. What does Starget do?

3.1 Starget is headquartered in the Isle of Man and helps to connect employers and job candidates through our online platform. For more information about us, please see the About section of our Website.

4. What information do we collect and how do we use it?

4.1 Information you give us.

4.1.1 You may give us information, including information that can identify you (“personal information“) when you use our Website to register to apply for a job or recruit candidates. We will also collect information from you when you correspond with us.

4.1.2 If you are a candidate you may provide personal information such as your name, address, email address and telephone number, and other relevant information such as education and employment history. If you have uploaded your CV or created an Account on our Website (including our employer microsites) we will retain that information and use it to suggest other jobs to you which you may be interested in unless you tell us otherwise. If you consent, we may also collect information such as ethnicity and sexual orientation to help employers monitor the diversity of their employees, but this information will be anonymised and will not affect your application.

4.1.3 If you are an employer searching for candidates, you will register an account with us in which we will collect information such as your name, job title, billing address and payment information.

4.1.4 If you subscribe to receive our newsletters and/or email notifications, then you will provide us with your name, email address, and other relevant information. For further information regarding subscriptions to our newsletter and other forms of marketing please see Marketing.

4.1.5 The personal information that you provide to us will be used for the purposes of enabling you to use our Website and receive our services, for administrative and troubleshooting purposes and in order to send you marketing materials. This includes but is not limited to using your information to contact you about jobs or candidates you may be interested in, send statements and invoices to you, dealing with enquiries and complaints made by or about you relating to the Website and our services, and to collect payments from you. 4.1.6 Please note that we will not store your payment information, this will be done via a third party payments company. All our Website financial transactions are handled through our payment services provider, Stripe. You can review the Stripe privacy policy at https://stripe.com/gb/privacy.

4.2 Information we collect automatically.

4.2.1 When you visit our Website, we may automatically collect the following information from your device: your IP address, log-in information, location information, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, information about your visit including the URL clickstream to, through and from our Website, length of visits to certain pages and page interactions, page views, products you searched for or viewed and download errors. 11. International data transfers

11.1 Given that the Internet is a global environment, using the Internet to collect and process personal information necessarily involves the transmission of data on an international basis. While we generally store all of the personal information that we collect about you through our Website on our servers in the United Kingdom, it is possible that your personal information will be transmitted to parties outside your region (where data protection laws may be different), for example we use service providers in North America.

14.5 Note that if you are an Applicant, Starget (part of Hirer Ltd) is a controller of your personal information when you upload it to our Website. However, prospective employers also act as controllers of your personal information when they conduct their recruitment activities and for employment purposes when if you are hired so you may also need to contact them regarding any processing of your personal data which they carry out. If you submit a request to exercise your rights to us, we will typically also pass that request on to prospective employers that are also controllers (and will let you know if we do)

15. Privacy Policy amendments

15.1 This Policy was last updated on 25 May 2018. We may update this Policy from time-to-time by posting a new version on our Website. When we update our Privacy Notice, we will take appropriate measures to inform you, consistent with the significance of the changes we make. We will obtain your consent to any material Privacy Notice changes if and where this is required by applicable data protection laws.
